"requiring version.rb" strategy has some issues.
- cannot work when cross-compiling
- often introduces wrong namespace
- must know the superclasses
- costs at each runtime than at build-time
etc.
As splitting by NUL means to allow the file names to contain
newlines, path names should match at beginning-of-string instead
of beginning-of-line.
