# Merge request context commits API **(FREE)**

## List MR context commits

Get a list of merge request context commits.

GET /projects/:id/merge_requests/:merge_request_iid/context_commits
```

Parameters:

| Attribute           | Type    | Required | Description                                                                                                     |
|---------------------|---------|----------|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| `id`                | integer | yes      | The ID or [URL-encoded path of the project](index.md#namespaced-path-encoding) owned by the authenticated user  |
| `merge_request_iid` | integer | yes      | The internal ID of the merge request                                                                            |

Create a list of merge request context commits.
