Build Status Dependency Status Code Climate

Mutant is a mutation testing tool for ruby that aims to be better than existing mutation testers.

The idea is that if code can be changed and your tests don't notice, either that code isn't being covered or it doesn't do anything.

It is currently only compatible to MRI and RBX in 1.9 mode. Also it only supports rspec2.

Motivation:

Installation

There is no gem release and the code is under development and unusable.

Contributing

  • Fork the project.
  • Make your feature addition or bug fix.
  • Add tests for it. This is important so I don't break it in a future version unintentionally.
  • Commit, do not mess with Rakefile or version (if you want to have your own version, that is fine but bump version in a commit by itself I can ignore when I pull)
  • Send me a pull request. Bonus points for topic branches.
